HGNC Approved Gene Symbol: ZRSR2
Cytogenetic location: Xp22.2 Genomic coordinates (GRCh38): X:15,790,484-15,823,260 (from NCBI)
Hatada et al. (1991) isolated the imprinted mouse gene U2af1rs1 by restriction landmark genomic scanning. This gene is related to the human ribonucleoprotein auxiliary factor (191317) required for RNA splicing.
Kitagawa et al. (1995) isolated 3 human homologs of mouse U2af1rs1. The predicted 482-amino acid protein is 92.1% identical to U2AF1RS1 (601079) and 75.1% identical to the mouse U2af1rs2 protein.
Kitagawa et al. (1995) mapped the ZRSR2 gene to chromosome Xp22.1 by fluorescence in situ hybridization.
