Gene: [01q2/SELL] selectin L; lymphocyte adhesion molecule 1 (lymph node homing receptor); [LYAM1 LAM1 ]
FAG |
Three other cell adhesion factor genes are located in the long arm of Chr 1. These are the endothelial (GEM:01q2/SELE), granulocyte (GEM:01q2/SELP), and CD34 antigen (GEM:01q/CD34) cell adhesion factors. The genes SELE, SELL, and SELP belong to a selectin multigene family, which peptide products have a common feature in their structure: functionally similar domains are located in the same order (from N- to C-end: lectin-like - EGF-like - two src-like - transmembrane)." |
