Capillary hemangiomas are the most common tumor of infancy, occurring with an incidence of up to 10% of births. Though most occur sporadically and as single lesions, or in conjunction with pleiotropic genetic syndromes, Walter et al. identified a small number of kindreds in which hemangiomas segregated as an autosomal dominant phenotype with high penetrance (Walter-1997)."
