A gene for late-onset familial Alzheimer disease maps to the same region as the gene for apolipoprotein E (GEM:19q132/APOE). Corder-1993 found that the risk for AD2 increased from 20 to 90% and mean age of onset decreased from 84 to 68 years with increasing number of E4 alleles of APOE gene." |
