Gene: [19q134/PTPRH] protein tyrosine phosphatase, receptor type, H;
|
 SUM  |
[1] PTPRH is a human transmembrane-type protein tyrosine phosphatase that
is abundant in colon and pancreatic cancer cell lines.
 [2] Predicted 1,118-amino acid PTPRH protein that has a putative 25-amino acid signal peptide, a 728-amino acid extracellular domain containing 8 fibronectin type III-like repeats, and a 340-amino acid cytoplasmic region containing the conserved PTP domain. PTPRH is structurally similar to PTPRB (GEM:12q/PTPRB), suggesting that they represent a subfamily of transmembrane-type PTPs (Matozaki-1994). [3] Normal colon tissue or adenomas with mild dysplasia showed no detectable expression of PTPRH. In contrast, 2 of 17 adenomas with moderate or severe dysplasia and 19 of 48 (40%) adenocarcinomas expressed PTPRH (Seo-1997)." |
