Cohn LA: The influence of corticosteroids on host defense mechanisms. J Vet Intern Med 5:95,1991. For those interested in reviewing the effects of corticosteroids when used with standard vaccination practices, although the relevance of this to hyposensitization is not known.

Halliwell REW: Efficacy of hyposensitization in feline allergic diseases based upon results of in-vitro testing for allergen-specific IgE. J Am Anim Hosp Assoc 33:282, 1997. Results of a questionnaire answered by general practitioners who diagnosed 81 cats on the basis of RAST and clinical signs. In 75.3% of cases, an improvement of at least 50% was seen.

Reedy LM: Results of allergy testing and hyposensitisation in selected feline skin diseases. J Am Anim Hosp Assoc 18:618, 1982. This was a landmark article. Reedy treated cases ofmiliary dermatitis and eosinophilic granuloma complex with hyposensitisation based on intradermal skin test results.
