Gene: [12p1/KLRD1] killer cell lectin-like receptor subfamily D, member 1; antigen CD94 (type II membrane glycoprotein; NK/T-cell C-type lectin receptor); [CD94 ]

COM

The CD94 gene was mapped to Chr 12 with use of a somatic cell hybrid panel (Chang-1995). By analysis of a cosmid contig, Plougastel and Trowsdale found that the CD94 gene is located at 12p13.2-12.3, within the NK complex, a cluster of C-type lectin genes preferentially expressed in NK cells (Plougastel-1998)."
