Gene: [19p132/PRKCSH] protein kinase C substrate 80K-H (glycoprotein 80K-H); [PKCSH G19P1 ]
MOP |
Acidic proteins with MM 80 kD are preferrable substrates of Ca, phospholipide-dependent protein kinase (protein kinase C). The study conducted on Ca9-22 cells obtained from human squamous cell carcinoma revealed two such proteins - 80K-H (heavy) and 80K-L (light). The amino acid sequence of the 80K-H protein was determined (it appeared to be glutamate-rich). cDNA probe for this protein was found, with the aid of synthesized DNA probe; and its gene was mapped to chr 19 (Minoshima-1989; Sakai-1989)." |

The gene for 80K-L protein is identified: GEM:06q2/PRKCSL. |
