Vitronectin receptor belongs to the integrins (see FAM:ITG/00.0) and consists of 2 major subunits: a 150kD alpha subunit and a 115-kD beta subunit. Alpha V associates with either the beta 1, beta 3, beta 5 or beta 6. Alpha subunit is composed of an heavy and light chains."
